Opis

When heading south on White, it is very difficult to see oncoming traffic, in either direction, on Crockett when cars are parked on the north side of Crockett. I suggested stop signs, but was told by the City that we do not want to slow traffic on Crockett even though cars routinely speed and more families are moving into the neighborhood. If cars were prohibited from parking on Crockett, it would make it safer and easier for drivers crossing Crockett to see the cross traffic. I have witnessed numerous near accidents over the past few weeks, where cars on Crockett and on White (heading south) have had to slam their breaks or swerve violently to avoid collisions because of the obstructed view. Heading north does not have this problem because people are no parking on Crockett on the south side so close to the intersection. Also, overflow parking seems to happen on the side streets, such as White, making it difficult for residents to maneuver in their neighborhood to get to their houses while avoiding the increase in traffic. Perhaps permit parking only, and putting in parking meters?
